October is the month in which the Template:SER celebrates Halloween. (This Holiday was not in Wild World. ) Candy is sold throughout the month at Tom Nook's Store and Nookling Stores in preparation for Halloween (in Animal Crossing, candy starts being sold on the 16th), whereas, in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the Able Sisters shop will start selling Halloween masks and hats. The 31st is the only chance each year to see Jack. The grass and trees will also turn noticeably redder during this month, as it is during Fall.

• Harvest Moon Festival in Animal Crossing (GCN), Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: New Leaf
  • This event is known as Autumn Moon in PAL regions, 月見 (Tsukimi) in Japan, and 추석 (Chuseok) in Korea.
  • Occurs on a different day each year. Check main article for recurrence dates. The next occurrence taking place in October will be 10/5/17.
  • In New Leaf, the in-game present from Isabelle varies by region. (eg different items for Japan, North America, Korea, and Europe)
• Flea Market in Animal Crossing: Wild World & Animal Crossing: City Folk.
  • This event occurs on the first saturday of the month in Wild World, and the fourth sunday of the month in City Folk.

• Acorn Festival in Animal Crossing: Wild World.
  • Occurs from 3rd to 10th October.

• Explorer's Day in Animal Crossing (GCN), Animal Crossing: City Folk, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
  • This event occurs on the second Monday of October, in North America only.
  • Visit Tortimer to receive a Bottled Ship. In New Leaf, the player can receive a Sailboat Model from Isabelle.
• Mushrooming Season in Animal Crossing (GCN).
  • Occurs from October 15th to 25th, from 8am each day.
  • Collect up to five mushrooms every day, sell for 5,000 Bells each.
• Fishing Tourney in Animal Crossing: Wild World, Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
  • In Wild World this event occurs on the fourth Sunday of the month.
  • In City Folk and New Leaf, this event occurs on the second Saturday of the month.
  • Also the start of the Fishing Tourney series.
